Ad blockers are browser plugins that do not perform specific requests based on a regular expression. Therefore, these requests never arrive at the domains the plugin blocks. It means Adhese will not count impressions.

To avoid ad blockers as much as possible, Adhese can be implemented as a first domain solution. A subdomain, for example, or a path like, is then set as an alias of the Adhese servers. It makes it more difficult for an Adblocker to block the correct URLs without inhibiting the proper and smooth functioning of a website.

Besides, the Adhese application can run at the server of the publisher. This will cause the ad blocker to consider the application as a property of the publisher.
